Membership Eligibility:

Please first review the information on the Membership Criteria page in order to determine if you are eligible for membership. 

Once you have completed your educational requirements for OSTCAN membership, you can then register to sit for the OSTCAN Certification Exam.

For international applicants would like to join OSTCAN Membership and take the Exam, please first Click Here to submit documents for OSTCAN Education Committee to review for approval before registering for OSTCAN Exam.

Registration Information:

To register for OSTCAN Certification Exam, we will require all applicants to have the following documents ready to upload in a PDF format prior to registering:

1. A letter of completion from an OSTCAN-approved Canadian Osteopathic School.
   
2. A photocopy of professional insurance; liability and malpractice; recommended minimum of 5 million.
3. A scanned copy of a negative Vulnerable Sector Screening police check (VSS).
   If you don't have the VSC document ready, Click Here to apply for VSC with Sterling Backcheck for a fee of $36
   Your VSC result will automatically be sent to OSTCAN within a few hours. We will contact you via email if we require more information.

Please note, that OSTCAN only accepts official liability insurance and VSS documents from applicants to register for the OSTCAN Exam, any proof of liability insurance & VSS submission won't be accepted to register for the OSTCAN Exam and your registration will be rejected.

Once we receive your registration, we will review and confirm your registration by email a few days prior to the Exam date.

Registration will be closed 2 day before the Exam date at 5 PM ET.

Your Exam details will be sent to you 1 day before the Exam date before 5 PM ET.

For all new members, please note the following:

• All dues are non-refundable.
• If a member joins mid-year the fee will be prorated based on the month the member has joined.

Exam Fees:

• Exam Fee: $250 + HST
• Rescheduling Fee: $100
• Exam Retake Fee: $150
